The High School Basketball Game of the Week Coming to Sports Webcasting Network Sports Webcasting Network (www.sportswebnet.com) will be will be adding the High School Basketball Game of the Week, a seven game regular season package, which will feature New York City and Long Islands top teams to its winter schedule. The internet based media company will launch its exclusive high school basketball coverage on Tuesday, February 8, when Lincoln High School, last year’s Federation State Champion, meet Canarsie High School. Other confirmed dates include Cardozo @ Campus Magnet on Tuesday, Jan.15, Frederic Douglas @ Lutheran (LUHI) on Saturday, Jan. 26, Canarsie @ Boys and Girls on Thursday, Jan 31, Wadleigh @ Wings on Friday, Feb. 1, Lincoln @ Boys and Girls on Tuesday, Feb 5, and Whitman @ Bay Shore on Wednesday, Feb, 8. Sports Webcasting Network is still in negotiations to add playoff action to the schedule. “We are
very excited to add High School Basketball to our schedule,” said play-by-play
announcer and SWN’s Director Rob Goldenberg. “We targeted the
best basketball that the area has to offer. Specifically with our coverage
of the PSAL, we are featuring schools which have a plethora of talent, but
are not being featured by other area media outlets,” he said. "We are happy to continue our relationship with both entities,” said Director Thomas Bruno. The response thus far has bee n great from both school administration and fans. For the last five years, Sports Webcasting Network, under the banner of T & D Sports Video Productions and Sports Radio Network, has been airing football and basketball games and other sports related content on radio, television and the internet.
